Why is Valentine's Day celebrated by couples only? Or at least I have seen this many times. Is it too late or too early to realize that love begins within yourself first? If you are legit and fail to love yourself first, there is no way you can love someone else as deeply as you want. As a girl and, in fact, a single young girl, I would always suggest people find the happiness of love within themselves first and then focus on treating others. That doesn’t indicate that I am against love as a couple; if you are married, engaged, or have a boyfriend. Whatever you are or whoever you are with, just for once this Valentine’s Day 2023, try to be your own Valentine. 

And when I say be your Valentine's special, I herald to treat yourself on Valentine's Day. At this point, many people get curious about “how to treat yourself on Valentine's Day?” well, treating yourself with love is essential. Still, if you know the way to happiness is from the stomach, treating yourself to Valentine's Day should be related to some fruit baskets or anything sweet you would love to have. This Valentine’s Day, 14th Feb, be your valentine for a moment, and you will feel all the best you could do for yourself; trust me! It always works, at least for me; yes, it does! 

Anyways, you can make Valentine’s Day more remarkable in multiple ways when you treat yourself to Valentine's Day with all your heart and have the most excellent treat for yourself. Here are some incredible ways your eyes will shine when you read them; 

  1. Spend An Ideal Day In Your Fantasizing Way

You can make a huge difference by just spending the day you wish to spend; this could be anything of your choice; you can go on jogging or spend the whole day on a yoga mat if that’s what you love. You can also have a pleasant walk by the sea or on the streets; you can listen to your favorite songs or visit someplace you feel safe and relishing at the exact moment. Sitting on the top of a building and visualizing the moon, gazing at the stars, and eating your favorite snacks, ice cream, junk, or healthy fruits. 

It’s totally on you and your choices; if you are adventurous, you can even go hiking or to some adventure park; all-in-all, free yourself and be yourself for this special day. Show yourself some love and affection you might miss for an extended period. Take some time for yourself from work and worldly things, and I bet you feel a lot more than happy, relaxed, and refreshed. 

  1. Glorify Yourself

Have you ever noticed or counted how much you have done for the people you love and how much your efforts are worth it? You might have done things to make others happy, but you often have done the things that will honor and raise them high; that’s good in its way, but even better when you prioritize yourself and glorify your self-being. 

You can cherish yourself in hundreds of ways; you know it better. Sing the beautiful melodies for yourself this Valentine's Day, or celebrate yourself with cute and pretty selfies. You can write personalized notes or even a diary, too. Bring a pen and paper, and note down the things you enjoy. It can e painting, making food, or just laying on the sofa, having a cappuccino, and enjoying a series or movie with a popcorn bucket; whatever makes you the happiest, go for it. 

  1. Bring Yourself On A Perfect Date 

If my advice matters, I recommend you bring yourself on a perfect date at least once, just like you arrange for your loved ones. This time, arrange it for yourself and make love by treating your stomach to a good and healthy dinner. Even if it’s unhealthy and you are a junk-food lover, without worrying about your weight and calories, listen to your heart (and, of course, food cravings!)

However, you don’t need to get so confused about what place you need to visit, as it’s not for someone you are afraid to lose, but for someone you are going to refind. Choose the location for your date, day or night, indoor or outdoor, beach or mountain, restaurant or cafe. Again, watching shows and movies or just being at home free with all the chores, relaxing on a comfy couch can also be considered a date.  In short, go where your heart takes you, and eat what you love most without caring for your budget and weight. Candlelight dinner at a fancy hotel with me might be what I will pick this Valentine’s Day. 

  1. Pamper Yourself With All The Love You Deserve 

Taking a day off from the house chores and work duties, your diet plans, and busy schedules, make yourself happy with a little or a little more indulgence this Valentine's Day. You should and must pamper yourself with care and adoration. Many routes will take you to self-extravagancy, like skincare routines, bathing sessions, movie nights, mani-pedi at the nearest salon, facials, or stress relieving spas.

You can do many things to bring a smile to your face and relax your body and brain from all the worries. Also, don’t forget to relax and fade away all the problems, issues, depression, and anxiety for a day, at least. Lit the scented candles and take deep refreshing breadth inside you. You can even doll up nicely, do delicate makeup, grab a drink, turn on the music, and dance to the fullest as if no one’s watching.

  1. Get Yourself Your Favorite Present 

Last but not least, gift yourself with what you love the most. It can be a piece of a pendant or bracelet, or it can be chocolates or a flower bouquet, a food basket, or a makeup palette. Just anything you wish to get should be in a presentation as this Valentine’s Day Special gift. Without thinking of any odds, indulge your guilty pleasures and have the most iconic thing for yourself.

As a wind-up, I would only say that being yourself and taking time for yourself has nothing to do with selfishness; it’s self-love and self-respect. Because, in the end, you are doing all those things your mind, body, and soul deserves. As I have experienced all these things for an extended period, I feel safe and refreshed having single dates and treating myself multiple times a year, not only on Valentine’s Day.
